Attack of the Louvre: a museum guide demonstrates The Figaro

“An employee of a company providing guided tours within the museum has been recognized on the photos Abdallah El-Hamahmy who had participated in a three-hour tour, five days before the facts,” says the journal. “This young tour guide was heard Tuesday as a witness by the investigators of the anti-terrorist section (SAT) of the major crime unit of Paris”, wrote the daily. His testimony was “corroborated by the various investigations and the operation of the credit card of the suspect”.

“I recognized it after seeing his face in the media, said the guide to the log. It really made me funny after the fact, because it was one of the most smiling of the group…” “on The 29th of January, in the morning, a dozen people from around the world are at the foot of the arc de triomphe du Carrousel, a few tens of meters of the Pyramid of the Louvre. Abdallah El-Hamahmy has booked its place under his true identity for this tour of three hours at the beginning of January on the Internet through a tour operator,” says Le Parisien.

“I remember very well asking him where he came from. He told me that he was egyptian,” continues the guide. The group then enters the museum through the same entrance where the attack will take place a few days later. “He seemed very interested in the visit, including by the department of egyptian antiquities,” adds the guide. It has raised questions about the Sphinx. It was really one of the most sympathetic of the group. It was really barely noticeable…”

Abdullah El-Hamahmy, 29 years old, said Monday he wanted to carry out a symbolic action, without being controlled by the group islamic State (EI), but investigators suspect it to be close to the theses of the organisation jihadist. The man was badly wounded in the stomach by firing response of the military during his attack in the shopping mall.
